Michael Bresett

Mr. Michael John Bresett, 42, of 21 Town View Lane, Adams, crossed over to eternal life on Saturday April 4, 2009. He was born in North Adams on November 27, 1966, son of William and Betty (Shaw) Bresett. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1984. Mr. Bresett was Co-Founder of B&B Precision Builders in 1987 with his partner Michael Bassi, and continued to operate the business until the time of his passing. He was a member of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams. He was a member of the Adams Sno Drifters and the Savoy Kanary Kats. He also sponsored many youth sports programs. Michael loved unconditionally and never, ever judged anyone. He welcomed everyone to his beautiful house on the hill. His house became a home for many young people in need of shelter, a friend, and unwavering support. Michael was a skilled craftsman whose expertise delighted his clients with an exquisite finished product. His vision, insight, and ability to take an empty space and create something special and memorable was unparalleled. He enjoyed every opportunity to satisfy a client's unique need. He always said, "If you can draw it, I can build it!" He made every house into a home. If Michael has ever helped you in any way, please pay it forward in his memory. Besides his parent of Adams, he is survived by his wife, the former Renee M. LaRocque, whom he married on August 31, 1990; 3 Daughters - Vanessa Cook, Amanda Bresett, and Meriah Bresett, all of Adams; 2 Sons - Michael and Mitchell Bresett of Adams; 1 Brother - William Bresett and his wife Lisa of Adams; 1 Sister - Bonnie Taylor and her husband Mark of Adams; His maternal grandparents Frank and Helen Shaw of Adams; His wife's father George LaRocque and his wife Beth of Rochester, NH; 1 - Brother-in-Law - Michael LaRocque and his wife Barbara of Cheshire; 1 Sister-in-Law - Christine LaRocque of Adams, and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his Mother-in-Law, Phyllis LaRocque. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 8, at 10:00AM in the Parish Church of Pope John Paul the Great, McKinley Square, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Bresett Scholarship Fund through the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
