Lillian Mullen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lillian Ida (Selb) Varno Mullen, 89, of 35 Burt St., Adams, died friday, October 1, 2004, at the North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in Adams on February 16, 1915, daughter of the late Emil and Emma (Milde) Selb. She attended Adams schools. She was last employed for 15 years at the former Phister Aluminum Co., North Adams, until her retirement several years ago. Earlier she was employed for several years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co.,Adams. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Adams. Her husband John Mullen is deceased. She is survived by 2 sons William A. Varno of North Adams and Peter E. Varno of Adams, 2 stepsons John P. Mullen and Daniel Mullen, and a stepdaughter Roseanne Keany, all of Pennsylvania, a daughter Florence E. Grover of North Adams, 12 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, October 5, 2004, in the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, Adams. The Rev. Michael McCue, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 4-7 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her memory be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, through the funeral home, 13 Hoosac Street., Adams, MA 01220
