Edward Kosche

Mr. Edward Albert Kosche, 70, of 25 Minton Lane, West Barnstable, MA; a native and former resident of Adams, died early Monday morning at his home. He was born in Adams on January 3, 1935, a son of the late Alfred and Adlena (Racicot) Kosche. He attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School in 1953.He lived in Adams all of his life, moving to Cape Cod in 2002. Mr. Kosche worked as a machinist at Beloit Corporation in Dalton, MA until retiring in April of 1997 after 41 years of service. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas, Adams, where he had served on the Bingo Committee for many years; and attended Our Lady of Victories Church in Centerville, MA while he lived in West Barnstable. He was a member of the Adams Lodge # 1335 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; and was former treasurer of the Adams Youth Football Program. He enjoyed model shipbuilding and gardening, and spent his happiest times with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, the former Shirley A. Ouellette, whom he married on August 27, 1955; 2 Sons - Eric Kosche of Trenton, Michigan; and Stephen Kosche and his wife, Ann, of Centreville, Virginia; 2 Daughters - Katherine Delaney and her husband, William, of Centerville, MA and Paula Elwell and her husband, Christopher, of Redding, Connecticut; 1 Brother - Alfred Kosche, Jr. of Adams; 1 Sister - Helen Carbin of Adams; 8 Grandchildren - Elizabeth and Alexander Elwell; Kaitlin and Victoria Delaney; and Stephanie, Kyle, Matthew and David Kosche; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 18th, at 11:00 AM from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home.
