Stephanie Dabrowski Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Stephanie M. "Stacia" (Banas) Dabrowski, 86, of 2 Cross St. Adams, died Sunday morning at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on June 21, 1918, a daughter of the late Wojciech and Apolonia (Lesniewska) Banas, and attended Adams schools. Mrs. Dabrowski worked for several years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams, the former Pownal Tanning Co. in Pownal, VT; and the former Pfister Aluminum Corp. and Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time in friendship circles. Her husband, William J. Dabrowski, whom she married on November 29, 1947, died on December 19, 1993. She is survived by 1 daughter - Dr. Irene Dabrowski of Staten Island, New York; 1 Son - Edwin Dabrowski and his wife, Teresa, of Littlefield, Texas; 1 Granddaughter - Stephanie Irene Dabrowski of Littlefield, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Matthew Banas, and her sisters- Blanche Strek, Jessie Korzendorfer and Wanda Wlodyka. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 9, at 9;00 AM from the Auge`-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home Friday at 3:45 PM to pay their respects and recite the Rosary. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka School through the funeral home.
