Mrs. Mary G. (Romaniak) Trzcinski, 91, of 1 Berkshire Square, Adams, died early Saturday morning at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on December 10, 1913, a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Apolonia (Zabik) Romaniak. She attended Adams schools, and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1932. Mrs. Trzcinski first worked for her father's business, the former White Eagle Printing Co. in Adams, for several years. During World War II, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked as a printer for the US Department of Commerce for several years. She returned to Adams and worked in the composing room at the North Adams Transcript for 20 years, until finally retiring in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She was a member of Adams Post 160 American Legion Auxiliary, the Polish National Alliance and St. Michael's Society. Her husband, Anthony Trzcinski, whom she married on September 2, 1946, died on February 17, 1994. She is survived by her Godchild - Barbara Couture of Adams; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. The last of her immediate family, she was predeceased by 4 brothers - Stanley, Ernest, Andrew and John Romaniak, and by 2 sisters - Josephine Romaniak and Frances Dydowicz. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 24, at 9:30 AM from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Williamstown Commons Patient Activities Fund through the funeral home.
