Mary Skalski Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Mary C. (Rotolo) Skalski, 77, of 16 Turners Avenue, Adams, died early Thursday morning at her home following a short illness. She was born in North Adams on February 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Naso) Rotolo, and attended North Adams schools. Mrs. Skalski worked as a secretary at the North Adams Police Department for 15 years, until retiring 15 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Her husband, Emil A. Skalski, whom she married on April 29, 1961 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams, died on October 20, 1982. She is survived by 2 daughters - Susan Murphy of Acton, MA; and Julie Noel of Adams; 1 Son - Steven Skalski of San Diego, California; 2 sisters - Nancy Whalen of Adams, and Theresa Racette of North Adams; 4 Grandchildren - Hannah Noel of Adams; Christopher and Michael Murphy of Acton; and Ian Skalski of San Diego, California; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 15th, at 12:30 PM from the Auge`-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.
