Lynn Barschdorf

Mr. Lynn Francis Barschdorf, 62, of 79 Bellevue Adams, died Friday evening, December 24, 2004, at North Adams Regional Hospital, shortly after being admitted. He was born in Adams on March 30, 1942, son of Eunice M. (Vuillemot) Barschdorf and the late Robert L. Barschdorf. He attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School in 1960. He then graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan University in 1964. Mr. Barschdorf first worked as a special needs teacher in Middletown, CT for several years, and later in Springfield, VT for several years. He last worked as a teaching assistant at Conte Middle School in North Adams for 10 years, until his retirement in June of this year. He was an avid fisherman, reader, and sports fan. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eunice M. Barschdorf, with whom he resided; 1 sister - Linda M. Tatro and her husband, David, of Williamstown; and 2 nephews - Marc Krutiak of Boston, and Jason Krutiak of Orlando, Florida. Private funeral services will be held in the Auge`-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through the funeral home.
