October 12, 1991 - January 4, 2022
Kimber passed away suddenly on January 4th while doing what she loved, helping others and making snow. She was born in October 1991 in North Adams, MA and is a graduate of McCann and Lincoln Technical Institute. Kimber worked at Jiminy Peak where she was a snowmaker, supervisor and certified maintenance mechanic. Her favorite things included her pups, friends, family, hiking, skiing and snowboarding, snow, puzzles, Shire Donuts, Iced Coffee and fixing cars. Kimber was a role model to all around her, from those she taught lessons to at Jiminy to her nieces and nephews. She played football in Cheshire’s youth leagues and at McCann, being the first female player to earn a varsity letter and led the way in females’ snowmaking at Jiminy. Kimber was never afraid to stand up for herself or anyone she loved and served as an inspiration to many. She was the sunshine to her family and brightened any room she entered. She will be truly and deeply missed. Kimber is survived by her mother and father, Patricia and Pete Francoeur, sisters Missy Tarjick (David), Traci Keele (Ray), Loretta Forfa (Dacian) and Jessica Francoeur (Tom), Ashley, Bonnie, Marisa, and Krista Terry, grandmother Tony LeBarnes, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kimber also leaves behind her two “fur” children, Aspen and Oakley. She is predeceased by her brother, Michael Terry, her grandparents, Rita Francoeur, Lawrence Francoeur and George LeBarnes. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 10th at 9:30 A.M. at JJ’s Lodge at Jiminy Peak Resort in Hancock. The family suggests casual dress and asks anyone attending to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Road, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
