Mr. John Michael Sebastino, 74, of 20 Brown St. Adams, died Thursday morning at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in North Adams on January 29, 1930, a son of the late Frank Sebastino and Margaret (Critelli) Sebastino Cimini. He attended North Adams schools, and had lived in Adams for the past 50 years. Mr. Sebastino worked at the former Waverly Fabrics division of F. Schumacher & Co. in Adams for 30 years, until retiring when the mill closed in 1991. Earlier, he had worked for several years at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas, Adams. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed being outdoors and with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Norma Dellaghelfa, whom he married on November 5, 1955; 3 Daughters - Jo-Anne Sebastino and her husband, Paul Kozik, of Windsor; Dora O'Brien and her husband, Timothy, of Adams; and Gena Simoneau and her husband, Bernard, of Adams; 3 Granddaughters - Jamie Grimaldi Ciempa, Carrie Purcell and Michele Purcell, all of Adams; 2 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Cosmo "Tony" Sebastino, and his stepfather, Louis Cimini. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 2, at 1:00 PM in the Auge`-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Rev. Mr. Robert Moulton, Permanent Deacon of the Parishes of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka, Adams, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday from 12 Noon until the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Lymphoma Society through the funeral home.
