Irene LeBeau
Mrs. Irene Jeannette (Guerin) LeBeau, 85, of 42 Commercial S. Adams, died early Sunday morning at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on September 28, 1919, a daughter of the late Arsene and Vitaline (Breault) Guerin, and attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame Elementary School and Adams High School. Mrs. LeBeau last worked at Adams Laundry and Dry Cleaning Co. for several years, until retiring in 1984. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas, Adams. She was a member of the former Adams Women's Bowling League. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, J. Alfred LeBeau, whom she married on June 4, 1938; 1 Daughter - Rene` Macomber of Plymouth, MA; 1 Brother - Raymond Guerin of North Adams; 2 Sisters - Theresa Dapper of Adams; and Marie Carnevale of Tampa, Florida; 4 Grandchildren - Irene Beyer of Salisbury, N.C.; David Hood of Plymouth, MA; Keel Hood of Fairfield, Maine; and Andrew Hood of New York, NY; 3 Great grandchildren - Kaeli, Noah and Chaela Hood; and many nieces 7 nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers - Isadore, Victor and Arsene Guerin, Jr; and 4 Sisters - Clara Wilk, Mathilda Giroux, Corinne Lepine and Eva Richardson. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parishes on Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Calling hours at the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the service.
