Mrs. Helen (Wysocki) Koza, 92, of 7 Daniels Court, Adams, died Wednesday evening, January 3, 2007, at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in New Britain, Connecticut on December 29, 1914, a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Hejnar) Wysocki, and came to Adams with her family at the age of 4, and attended Adams schools. Mrs. Koza last worked as an office clerk at the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams for several years, until retiring in 1975. Earlier, she had worked at the former Braman's Store in Adams for several years. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality, the Senior Choir, the Polish Women's Alliance, St. Michael's Society and the Adams Senior Citizens. She was Past President of the Polish Women's Club, and was a charter member of the St. Stanislaus Parent-Teacher Group. She had many talents, including cake making and decorating, hat making, tailoring, knitting and crocheting. She was an avid reader and spoke fluent Polish. She was a loving Babci to Ryan, Russell, and Mitchell Belanger, and was proud to be the mother and grandmother of twins. She will be sadly missed by her entire family. Her husband, Ignatius J. Koza, died on July 19, 1970. She is survived by 2 Sons - I. John Koza of Webster, NY, and Dr. Bernard F. Koza of Lisbon Falls, ME. 2 Daughters - Judith Belanger of Adams, and Edith Hamilton of Dallas, TX. 1 Brother - Frank Wysocki of North Adams; 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. A son, Raymond L. Koza, died on July 7, 2004. She was predeceased by a brother, William Wysocki, and by a 2 sisters, Mary Boudreau and Lottie Wotkowicz. The funeral will be held on Monday January 8, at 9:00AM from the PACIOREK Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, with Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka School or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
