Mrs. Grace M. (Hinckley) Linscott, 81, of 47 Blue Rock Road, Alburgh, Vermont, died Friday, August 17, 2007 at Haven Health Center in St. Albans, VT, of complications following heart surgery. She was born in Boston, MA on June 21, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Belle (Libby) Hinckley. She attended schools in Waltham and Belmont, MA, graduating from Belmont High School with the Class of 1944. She was employed with the C. Crawford Hollidge and Bonwit-Teller stores in Boston after graduating from high school, and at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams early in her marriage. While raising her family in Concord, MA, she volunteered with the Trinitarian-Congregational Church's Tri-Con Gift Shop, and was a travel agent with Heritage Travel in Cambridge, MA. She was also an antique dealer, establishing The Antique Shop in Concord's historic Wright Tavern during the mid 1970's. She and her husband, Adams native Donald A. Linscott, enjoyed retirement at their home on the northern shores of Lake Champlain. She was an annual volunteer with the C.I.D.E.R. Apple Blossom Festival in support of services for the elderly, and was a member of its Board of Directors for two years. She was an enthusiastic member of Thimble Collectors International, and helped to organize their 2005 convention in Boston. Besides her husband, whom she married on February 18, 1945 at Martha Mary Chapel in Sudbury, MA., she is survived by 1 son - Robert A. Linscott and his wife, Elaine, of Dracut, MA; 2 Daughters - Holley A. Linscott of Lenox, MA and Susan M. Cooper and her husband, Wallace Cooper, Jr. of Pelham, N.H.; 5 Grandchildren - Cynthia Simon, Renee Barnes, Andrew Houle, Dustin Cooper and Kacey Cooper; 2 Great Grandchildren - Aidan Barnes and Emma Barnes; A sister-in-law - Patricia Linscott of Adams; her cherished cat, Little Boy and dog, Beauty. She was predeceased by her brother, William E. Hinckley, Jr and brother-in-law, William S. Linscott. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15th, at 1:00 PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA. Rev. Donald E. Gray, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Adams, will officiate.
