Gladys Trzcinski
Mrs. Gladys Josephine (Mikuszewski) Trzcinski, 86, of 45 Highland St. West Hartford, Connecticut, a native of Adams, died Friday morning at Hughes Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Hartford. Death followed a brief illness. She was born in Adams on November 8, 1919, a daughter of the late Szymon and Tekla (Malek) Mikuszewski, and attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School in Adams. She had lived in West Hartford for the past 55 years. Mrs. Trzcinski worked briefly for Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, MA. After moving to Connecticut, she worked at Pratt & Whitney/United Technologies for many years, until retiring 25 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Hartford, Ct. While in Adams, she was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Her husband, Stanley J. Trzcinski, whom she married on May 17, 1947, died on September 13, 1990. She is survived by a sister - Celia Elliot of Rutland, Vermont; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers - Walter, Joseph and John Mikuszewski. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 8th, at 10:00 AM from the Auge`-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA 01220, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus larship Fund or to the West Hartford VNA Hospice through the funeral home.
