Victoria J. Zoltek

Mrs. Victoria Josephine (Kopec) Zoltek, 87, of 12 Hoosac St., Adams, died on Saturday evening, July 24, 2010, at the North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in Adams on January 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Tytus and Anastasia (Wlodyka) Kopec. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from St. Stanislaus Kostka School and the former Adams High School with the Class of 1940. Mrs. Zoltek worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams for 36 years, until retiring in 1986. Earlier she had worked for the former Northern Berkshire Electric Co. Mrs. Zoltek was a communicant of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She was currently the vice president of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Sodality, a member of the Gold Card Club of Sprague Electric Co., Forest Park Country Club, Adams, the former TMTM Club, Adams, and the former PNA Fife & Drum Corps., Adams. She loved sewing, knitting, reading, and playing golf. Her husband, Edward J. Zoltek, whom she married on July 13, 1946, died on January 31, 2002. She is survived by; 1 Son - James J. Zoltek and his wife Karin, and her daughter, Cory Sisson, all of Adams. 4 Grandchildren - Christine Walters and her husband Eric, Kimberly Leigh, Jaime Board and her husband Mark, and Michael Zoltek and his wife Jessica; 4 Great Grandchildren - Mark and Brandon Walters, Caden Zoltek and Ashton Board; 1 Brother - John Kopec of Roswell, GA; 3 Sisters - Helen Kalisz of Baton Rouge, LA, and Blanche Rusek and Sophie Kopec, both of Adams, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Zoltek, and by a brother, Frank Kopec. The funeral will be on Tuesday, August 3, at 9:00AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in the Parish Church of Pope John Paul the Great, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday, August 2nd from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home at 3:45PM to pay their respects and recite the Rosary. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus School through the funeral home.
