Phyllis B. Blazejewski

Mrs. Phyllis Barbara (Dabrowski) Blazejewski, 92, formerly of 3 Myrtle St. Adams, died early Friday morning, March 2, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in Adams on December 4, 1919, a daughter of the late Joseph and Harriet (Ciejka) Dabrowski, and attended Adams schools. Mrs. Blazejewski worked at the former Adams Super Market in Adams for many years, until her retirement. Earlier, she had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She had been a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, where she was a member of its St. Cecelia's Choir. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality; Court Sancta Regina of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Adams; a member and Past Vice President of the Adams Senior Citizens; and a member of the Adams Golden Varsity. She enjoyed walking, reading, traveling, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. Her husband, Theodore F. Blazejewski, whom she married on May 10, 1941, died on October 12, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lillie and her husband, Gary, of Adams; Her grandchildren, Todd Lillie and his significant other, Marcie; Chad Lillie, and Cheryl Lillie and her fianc�e, Glen; her great granddaughter, Amber; a brother, John Dabrowski of Adams; 3 sisters, Celia Danecki, Helen Szufnarowski and Janet Wilk, all of Adams; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Her son, Bernard S. Blazejewski, died on April 16, 2010. She was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Walter and Stephen Dabrowski. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, at 9:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet at the funeral home on Monday at 4:40 PM to pay their respects and recite the Rosary. Memorial donations may be made to the Pope John Paul the Great Food Pantry, or to the Meals on Wheels Program at Elder Services of Berkshire County through the funeral home.
