Marilyn Randall

Mrs. Marilyn Dorothy (Tosi) Randall, 76, of 75 Walling Road, Adams, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Somerville, MA on June 19, 1939, daughter of the late Laurence and Mary (Albertini) Tosi. She attended schools in Somerville. Mrs. Randall graduated from the Boston State Teachers College having earned her Master's Degree in Education. She then went on to earn her Master's Degree in Reading from Boston State College. Mrs. Randall first taught 1st and 2nd grade for the Conwell School in Somerville until she moved to Adams where she started teaching for the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District. While teaching in Adams she became the coordinator for the Title 1 program and then became the Director of the program until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a former member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Rosary Society. She was a professed member of Our Lady of Carmelite, North Adams, a book club member at the Adams Free Library and a longtime member, board director and treasurer of the Adams Agricultural Fair. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Douglas E. Randall, whom she married on June 29, 1968; 1 Son – Jeffrey Randall of Adams, 1 Daughter – Cheryl Wellington and her husband Ernie of Windsor, 2 Brothers – Robert Tosi and his wife Camille of Arlington and Laurence Tosi, Jr., of Somerville, 3 Grandsons – Xavier, Wyatt and Aidan Wellington, all of Windsor, 2 Nephews – Robert Tosi, Jr., of Arlington and Joseph Tosi and his wife Michelle and their son John Robert of Framingham, 1 Niece – Lisa Tosi Sasso and her husband John and their children Brian, Jessica and Alex of Reading, and many other nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 8:45AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, celebrated by Rev. David R. Raymond, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
